The
Histotech Exchange asks the questions that really matter.
Most coverslipping, and the vast majority of H&E staining,
is now done by automation, making the question of hand H&E
staining ability as relevant as knife sharpening. While it
has its place, it will probably not affect the work flow as
it once would have.
Our recruiting relies heavily on our knowledge of actual workplace
experience. A
skills checklist is no match for years of experience. The
workday and the structure of the shift system provides information
on the amount and type of work that will be performed. Each
histotech has a preference for the type, duration and conditions
under which he/she works best. This improves efficiency, productivity,
reduces mistakes, and prevents workstyle clashes.
Ask your next hiring professional what the check mark next
to H&E means for the day-to-day work load of their Histologist. |

People: |
Everyone
has had a bad experience with an employer or employee. In
an industry where people are often hired sight unseen, we
go the extra step to personally meet with prospective employees
whenever possible. Our aim is to meet with 100% of all employees
before we place them, resulting in placing Histologists who
are sociable, capable and dedicated.
Knowing the histology community means that we are better able
to question references. Being a members of the histology community
our connections allow us to really get to know the people
we are placing. If you have some personnel issues we are the
people who can provide a neutral player, delivering the high
quality of work whatever the circumstances. Our ethos, and
that of our histologists, is “We are here to help you.” |

We
aim to cut down the time that you spend with us and our employees
to allow you to get on with more pressing problems. In this
increasingly difficult employment market, we aim to be a safe
harbor. We deliver people who know they can do the work because
we have asked all the right questions.
We
believe that a good job involves making everyone happy: from
the histotech, coworkers to the pathologist and the human
resources coordinator. The people-centric approach combined
with a well defined skills match is the key to success. |
